David’s Professional career began in 1992 while championing equal opportunity employment hiring of inner-city residents on contracts performed in inner city communities. He simultaneously worked as a heavy construction laborer, as well as an apprentice and helper in the brick mason, tile layer and bridge painting trades until 1998.

In 1997 David enrolled in NYU’s continuing education program in Building Construction Management and graduated in 1999. In that same year he started Genesus One Enterprise (GOE) construction company, a General Contracting company specializing in building and heavy construction contracts with government agencies.

Under his leadership, GOE performed work as prime contractor with numerous government agencies including the New York City Housing Authority, NYC School Construction Authority, NYS DOT, MTA Bridges and Tunnels, NYC Transit, PANYNJ to name a few.

After realizing the need for more skilled tradesmen amongst community members (while employing over 50 community members over that time period), David became certified as a Master Trainer with the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) with the purpose of starting a construction training company to produce more tradesman. He started Genesus Construction Training Center in 2010,

In 2008 he was elected President of UACD, (United Association of Contractors & Developers) who provided OSHA 10 training in Westchester County at the bequest of community leaders. Under his direction, in two years over 1,200 was certified in OSHA 10, OSHA 30, Scaffolding and other Safety Training classes.

In 2010, GOE began providing OSHA training and mentoring at the bequest of Resident Leaders of NYCHA, and in 2013 began providing them with construction programs in Masonry, Painting, and Carpentry. Our training and certifications have led to numerous employment placements for our trainees with NYCHA, as well as other affiliate contractors.

To date, over 3,500 Trainees have been certified in classes held in the NYCHA Community Centers in Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan.

In January of 2016, GCTC began providing an accelerated Construction Technology program to our Workforce Development client in contract with developers and contractors committed to hiring community residents of underserved communities. In two years, we have trained, retained and graduated approximately 178 of 180 trainees, of which at least 80% have received employment in their field of training. Our training attracts numerous employers ready to employ our most recent program graduates.

In July of 2016, GCTC began providing construction safety, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical and HVAC training programs to Chicago Housing Authority residents in Altgeld Gardens Homes. HVAC and Electrical participants have recently completed their level 1 training programs.

GCTC is currently delivering training programs to High School students, Workforce Development Companies and Construction employers in NYC, Hempstead, NY, Albany, NY and Chicago Illinois. Our unique approach to training leads to higher than usual retention rates, 100% client satisfaction, and most of all, a qualified product.

David also serves as the Construction Manager of MMCG Construction Corp. David’s in-depth knowledge of his profession sets him apart as a leader who conducts business with integrity and honesty with every client. A proven expert in managing and completing complex projects on time and within budget, David is highly sought after and has earned the respect of his colleagues and clients with whom he conducts business.

In addition to graduating from New York University in Building Construction Management, David brings a well-round background from his training and experience in Accounting, Business Administration.
